Description
This is a great off-the-beaten-track trail located near Auckland. It starts from Huia Bay and takes you from the Karamatura carpark to the Whatipu carpark. It's a challenging walk and a must-do for all reasonably fit Aucklanders. Be prepared for never-ending steps Lots of great views and some big Kauri trees along the way.

This point-to-point track is located west of Auckland in Waitakere Ranges Regional Park. Some stunning native bush and high-peak views as a reward for all the stairs. Lots of steep stairs so be prepared. Lovely track, waterfalls/rivers, native bush. Well maintained.
