Description

The Massey Cossey Loop Track is one of the best walks in the Hunua Ranges Regional Park near Auckland. It’s a wonderful walk through the bush with lots of birds, shade, and amazing views. The track is well maintained with a decent amount of stairs. There’s a bridged river crossing although water is usually very low unless it has been raining recently. The track gets skinny at some places but manageable. Don’t forget to visit beautiful Hunua Falls.

This 9.0-km loop trail near Papakura, Auckland. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 h 47 min to complete. This is a popular trail for birding, hiking, and running, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.
