Description

This track takes you from Karamatura Valley near Huia to the top of Mount Donald McLean. It's a steep walk with many stairs on the way and great views over the Waitākere Ranges, Manukau Harbour, and central Auckland. Make sure you do the side trail to the waterfall with great waterholes to cool off.

This 12-km out-and-back trail s located near Huia, Auckland. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 3.3 hours to complete. This is a very popular area for hiking and walking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.
