Description

This track follows a wide gravel road that links the Upper and Lower Huia Dams in Waitakere Ranges Regional Park near Auckland. Once you make it past the fence, it's an amazing view, worth going up the little extra bit to the top of the dam. Fun having a 60m tunnel along the way.

This 12.1-km out-and-back trail is near Huia, Auckland. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 3 h 16 min to complete. This is a very popular area for hiking, running, and walking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.
