This is a great track for the family. It is mostly covered so should be good even on hot sunny days. The change of scenery from thick tree cover to half covered trail, then along the water. Without spoiling the surprises, there are plenty of features, stops, and views to keep it interesting and fun.

Enjoy this 9-km out-and-back Nihotupu upper and lower dam walk. The terrain isn’t too difficult and is mostly flat and wide, it’s perfect for large groups of all ages. Bring a snack to enjoy at the picnic area at the end of the walk. Nice views and easy walk, even for children and elderly people.
